Project: Logo & Brand Strategy
About the Brand
A minimalist Christian-led clothing brand whose goal is to create simple clothing articles for those who like to stylize their outfits while also being bold about their faith.
The Vision:
The goal of this project was to architect a brand identity and strategic roadmap for a minimalist, Christian-led apparel line that bridges the gap between high-end streetwear and bold faith. The brand strategy centered on building an identity that wasn’t just built for the digital landscape, but was intentionally designed to evolve alongside it.
By solidifying an aesthetic and a distinct voice, we created a foundation centered on community trust and visual consistency. The framework prioritizes a video-first content model and high-end brand photography, maximizing production value to foster long-term growth. This approach ensures that as the brand expands its offerings, the identity remains rooted in its mission.
The Moodboard:
To capture the essence of the brand, I curated a moodboard centered on three pillars: Stylish, Minimal, and Street. The visual direction was deeply personal, incorporating elements of the founder’s own style to ensure the brand felt like an authentic extension of his mission. We balanced clean, modern interior textures with high-end men’s street fashion to create an atmosphere that feels both elevated and accessible. The result is a visual language defined by minimalist logos and a sharp, modern aesthetic that feels at home in any contemporary setting
The Logo
I translated the brand’s mission into a visual narrative that flows seamlessly from the logo design to the social media presence. Recognizing that a modern apparel brand requires extreme versatility, I engineered the logo to perform across a variety of touchpoints, from digital grids to physical packaging. To achieve this, we developed a comprehensive suite that includes multiple colorways and a vertical secondary orientation, ensuring the identity remains adaptable regardless of the medium.
A cornerstone of this visual system is the recurring rectangle motif, which provides a structured, modern anchor for the entire suite. To further enhance brand recognition, I created a simplified submark: a distilled version of the primary logo designed for instant impact. This approach to identity ensures that, whether the mark appears on a garment tag or on a mobile screen, the brand’s “Simple yet Bold” essence remains unmistakable.
The Social Media:
I channeled the brand’s ethos into a comprehensive social media ecosystem centered on Instagram. I designed a custom suite of post and story templates, prioritizing accessible typography to ensure that every piece of content remained effortlessly on-brand. By integrating cohesive highlight covers and a curated grid aesthetic, we transformed the profile into a visual narrative that tells a consistent story.
I provided a strategic guide within the brand style manual to direct the use of specific templates for different content pillars. This structural approach ensures that the digital grid remains perfectly aligned and branded at every touchpoint. What began as a strategic discussion is now a living social presence where every post feels intentional, professional, and deeply rooted in the label’s identity.
The Packaging:
We dedicated a strategy session specifically to the logistics of sustainable packaging, prioritizing eco-friendly solutions that didn’t compromise the brand’s premium feel. I compiled a curated selection of customizable, sustainable packaging options that aligned with the brand’s environmental and aesthetic values.
I then crafted packaging designs that mirror the brand’s minimalist style, ensuring the unboxing experience feels both high-end and intentional. By focusing on clean lines and strategic logo placement, the resulting designs remain easily recognizable while maintaining the “Simple yet Bold” identity. This collaborative process ensured that the brand’s physical touchpoints are as ethically conscious and visually cohesive as its digital presence.
The Umbrella:
As the founder’s vision expanded over the years, he reached out to me to create an overarching “umbrella” identity to encompass his diverse business ventures. We retained the signature rectangle motif to ensure a sense of continuity and strength across all sub-brands. To distinguish this new chapter, I developed a softer version of the submark—allowing the visual language to feel more versatile and approachable while staying anchored to the foundational design system we built years prior.
